When I think back about how I got my start to event planning it actually goes way back further than dabbling in weddings for friends or my college degree. When I was young my mother produced training events and business conferences and I would help her with stuffing marketing envelopes (pre internet days lol) and creating registration packets and welcome bags. In high school I was class president and captain of the cheer squad which put me directly in charge of planning and executing pep rallies, fundraisers, and the senior prom.
As for the travel side I’ve been planning getaways for myself and friends for over a decade. I started planning friend trips as early as high school with a girls road trip shortly after graduation and I have planned several group trips with friends to destinations like Hawaii, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico. A few years ago I planned my own destination wedding in the Florida Keys!
